5 TOURIST PLACES IN SOUTH AFRICA





Africa is fast becoming known as a tourist destination. The are a few places in Africa that are worth mentioning when it comes ti Africa's popular tourist destinations. 


1. MOUNT KILIMANJARO


The Mount Kilimanjaro has placed Tanzania for the second time among the countries with exceptional travel  attractions in Africa. It is the largest mountain in Africa and one of the best tourist attractions for aventure travel.






2. MARRAKECH, MOROCCO 

Marrakech is the second largest city in Morocco. However, the great thing about the city is it's enchanting and rich history. It is regarded as one of the most culturally rich places in Morocco. If you follow archaeology, you would know that numerous stone implements have been unearthed in the area, if you enjoy a daily a assault on all your sense organs then you'll have a lot of fun.







3. THE BOULDERS BEACH


Boulders Beach is famed for its resident penguin colony and clean, white sand beach. it is home to at least 3000 African penguins, the Foxy Beach boardwalk being and excellent viewpoint. The park is also home to other birds and small mammals, while dolphins and whales swim off shore.





4. ROBBEN ISLAND                                       


The tour features an interesting interactive exhibit at the Nelson Mandela, where the tour ferry leaves. The trip,  lasting roughly two hours, includes a drive around the island and a visit to the prison.









The Robben Island tour is an emotional pilgrimage to the former penal colony where many PAC and ANC members, including Nelson Mandela, were incarcerated. Today it holds symbolic status and nearby Table Mountain, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 








5. ADDO ELEPHANT NATIONAL PARK




The Addo Elephant National Park is home to more than 550 elephants, various lions, black rhinos, buffaloes, hyenas, leopards, zebras and plentiful variety of antelopes. It is the third largest park in South Africa and also concentrates on preserving a wide variety of flora.
